22 security personnel have lost their lives in the naxal attack, Chhattisgarh

At least 22 of the security personnel were killed in jungles of Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. There was a gun battle on Saturday. More than 30 personnel are serious injured in the incident. The gun battle took place when the forces were out for a anti-Maoist operation on Saturday.

About 2000 personnel entered the Sukma-Bijapur Jungle from five camps. When returning from the operation they got trapped in an ambush. At least two of the Naxalites are killed by CRPF.

They elite force of CRPF CoBRA((Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), the district reserved guard were on the operation from five units. They were involved the operation launched from five places – Tarrem, Usoor and Pamed in Bijapur, and Minpa and Narsapuram in Sukma.

CM of Chhattisgarh said, the injured personnel are taken to the hospital in Raipur. Later Amit Shah speaks to the CM later. Shah cut his election campaign short in Assam and returned back to Delhi.
